nectar&bloom was formed long before 2017’s official incorporation. Working as professional gardeners at Long Island’s historic Old Westbury Gardens, Ann Marie and Lisa bonded over a mutual passion for floriculture, the cultivation and propagation of flowering plants.

Examining local wedding floral markets, the pair wondered. With such extraordinary specialty flower varieties in the garden, why are couples limited to run of the mill event blooms and arrangement styles? And with that small seed, nectar&bloom began to grow.

30+ years of professional horticultural experience, combined degrees from SUNY Geneseo (Plant Sciences), The New York Botanical Garden's School of Professional Horticulture, Pratt Institute (BFA Fine Arts) and SUNY FSC (Ornamental Horticulture), and an immense love of art in the natural world. The fine art of florals (many varieties seasonally grown by farmer/florist Ann Marie) drives these two in their 100% woman owned and operated business. Clients from Brooklyn to Bridgehampton reap the benefits of two artistic perspectives who listen intently- to clients, the seasons, and each other.
